Why do men not listen to women??
A little history behind this post. When my family moved to MS in November we found a house to rent. Its in a nice neighborhood and close to everything including my husband's job. The only problem is that the previous tenants kinda trashed the place. Now I realize that not everyone is a neat freak like me (my husband calls me the cleaning natzi), but these people were disgusting! No one should live like this!! I have had to literally SCRUB everything in this house from top to bottom. One of the things that was broken and had to be replaced when we moved in was the toilet in the master bath. The landlord sent a man out here to install a new toilet. Yay!! A week or so after installation I noticed that there was water pooled around the toilet. I got to looking and the toilet was leaking around the tank in 4 places. I called the landlord again, and he sent out the same man to fix it. So now that you know the history...I told the man when he got here where it was leaking. Now I had turned the water off to the toilet and drained the tank to stop the leaks. I told the man that I thought there was a crack in the tank itself. He said no, it was the bolts need to be tightened. I'm thinking why didn't you do that when you installed it, but I didn't say anything and let them do their thing. They tightened the bolts and turned the water back on. They said it was fixed and left. I immediately went in to check, and it was still leaking where I had said there was a crack. I called the landlord who immediately sent the guys back out. Now I can clearly see the crack in the tank, and I can see the water dripping from the crack. I show it to the guy when he gets here. You can feel the crack!! He still says its not a crack! They currently have the toilet taken apart and completely off the hole while they have gone to get a part. Why are they not listening to me??? They could have replaced the toilet and been done and out of my house already if they would just listen to me!! So frustrating!!

New Years Resolutions
I've been meaning to write this post for almost a month now, but with a newborn I don't always get things done in a timely matter. Here are my resolutions for this year.
1.) get the baby on a schedule to get her sleeping at night time instead of during the day
2.) start going to the gym at least 3 times a week
3.) put the family on a budget
4.) find a way to earn money while I continue to stay home with the baby
5.) read a book a month (not counting books I read to the baby)
6.) spend more quality time with my hubby

My First Post
Well, its 1a.m. and my baby is asleep (yay), but I can't sleep. My 3 month old daughter, Katie, was born gassy/colicky. It always tended to hit her at night so we would spend our nights up. I spent many a night walking her back and forth across the tiny apartment that we lived in at the time. That walking and bouncing motion seemed to be the only thing that comforted her and eased her pain. Needless to say, she got her days and nights confused. For the past 3 months I have been mostly up at night with the baby and we have napped on and off during the day. Her gassiness has finally subsided for the most part so I have been trying to get her switched back over to a normal schedule. She seems to be doing fine, but now I can't sleep. lol You gotta love the irony in that. :)
